Not content with their first mix, or simply embracing the collaborative process between big time producer and band, Fufanu have released a second version of 2015’s single 'Plastic People' cut by Ivor Novello-winning composer and record producer Marius De Vries. Timed alongside their upcoming appearance at Brighton's The Great Escape, the reworking is a sleeker version of what we have heard before and De Vries has skimmed off some of the fuzz and vocal flaws leaving quality and sheen in its place. Fufanu do not suffer as a result of being scrubbed up, and the new version is only fine-tuned and not utterly deconstructed. With fans such as Damon Albarn and the band currently in the studio with the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Nick Zinner working on their album, Fufano are going places fast with their take on 80’s synthesised pop. - SJ
